おもいかえす【思い返す】

1 〔過去のことをもう一度考える〕 think back; recall; mull over (in one's mind).

●私は学校を出て以来のことを思い返した. I thought back over the time since I had left school.

・昨日の会議を思い返して, なぜあんなにもめたのか考えた. Thinking [Looking] back over yesterday's meeting, I wondered why there had been so much argument.

2 〔考え直す〕 think again [twice]; reconsider; have second thoughts.

●旅行しようかと思ったが, 思い返して, やめにした. I was thinking of going on a trip, but on second thought(s) decided against it.
